Under the guidance of Jim Schaefer, some of our elementary aged OK's had the opportunity to create a collaborative piece to be performed at the 13th World Festival of Children's Theatre, in Lingen, Germany, during the summer of 2014. They created a piece from scratch that was given the title Dream Journey. Not only was this piece featured at the festival in Germany, but it was also showcased in the Fringe Festival here in London, ON. Dream Journey included many different theatrical forms including dance, mime, sound-scape and improvisation. Our OK's were excited to showcase their unique talents and their moving performance piece to other groups of young actors from around the world. It was an amazing, once in a lifetime experience to witness different cultures of theatre and to meet other young performers from around the world.
