GENERAL:

1.       What is Camp OK?
  • Camp OK is a full day, outdoor camp that runs Monday to Friday. Each session is two weeks long. We teach dancing, singing and acting as well as many other non-theatre related activities and games for campers aged 7+. We have devoted and energetic staff members who are there to create a safe, comfortable, and exciting environment for campers to develop and grow!
2.       What if my child has an allergy or medical concern?
  • Camp OK is a nut free and latex free environment. However, if your child has an allergy or medical concern, please be sure to alert our staff via the medical form section of your online registration.
3.       What if the show my child wants is “Sold Out”?
  • Registration is first come, first served.
4.       Can I pay for Camp OK with installments?
  • Yes, please call the Original Kids Hotline at 519-679-8989 for details.
5.       Is there financial assistance for Camp OK?
  • Yes, the application form is here if you request more info. Please do not hesitate to call the Original Kids Hotline at 519-679-8989.
6.      Is there a waiting list available for sold out sessions?
  • Yes, we will continue this option for Summer 2025. Waiting lists will be maintained until May 1, 2025, after this date it will become first come, first served.
7.    What is the price of Camp OK?
  • $650.00 per two week;
  • $650.00 per two week L.I.T. session;
7B.   I had a credit from last summer how do I use that?
  • ​Thanks for deferring your registration! Please reach out via EMAIL and so we can apply the credit to your account for the 2025 season

REGISTRATION:

8.       Where can I begin to register?
  • Registration will begin Saturday January 25, 2025 at 9:00am.
​8a.    What programming options will be available this summer?
  • You can view this HERE!
9.    Are there age restrictions?
  • Yes, please see our Camp Shows section to view age restrictions for specific shows, but generally Camp OK is for ages 7+.
10.     What if my child is 5 or 6 years old?
  • We offer Kamp Kidlets for children aged 5-8. See our Kidlets section on our website for more information.
11.     What is included in our tuition?
  • Two weeks of Camp OK, camp t-shirt, and memories to last a lifetime.
12.      What is the Refund Policy for Camp OK?
Cash Refund Policy:
100% within 24 hours of initial registration,
After registration is processed and before May 1, 2024 85% Refund,
After registration is processed and on or before June 14, 2024 50% Refund,
After registration is processed and after June 14, 2024 - No Refunds.
Dismissal for absence or inappropriate behaviour No Refund.
If the program is cancelled for reasons out of Original Kids Theatre control, no matter how close to camp, full credit will be offered for future programming.
13.    Am I able to withdraw from Camp OK after registering?
  • Yes, although we are disappointed your camper will be unable to attend, we do have a withdrawal form you can access HERE. Please follow the instructions on the form.

DAY TO DAY AT CAMP OK

14.      When does Camp OK run?
  • Camp runs Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 3:30pm (before and after care available). 
15.     Where is Camp OK, and where do I drop off my child?
  • Huron University College Campus will be used every day of the two week session, except for the last Friday, when Camp OK is located at the Kenny Theatre at King’s University College. Huron College University is located off of Western Rd between Windermere Rd and Sarnia Rd. Please use Burnlea walk entrance for drop-off and pick-up.

15b.   Where is Camp OK performance day?
  • Performance Day will be run at King's University College (266 Epworth Ave) on the last Friday of each camp session.

​ 16.     What is before and after care? (If you need to drop off early or pick up late)
  • Before and after care offers supervised activities led by our amazing counsellors. You can drop off your child as early as 8:00am and pick up as late as 5:00pm (Casual Care $6 per use, 10 Pack Card of Uses = $50.00, Before AND After Care for two weeks = $75.00).
 17.     What if it rains or it’s too hot outside?
  • When there is extreme weather, Camp OK takes the children into the buildings  as efficiently as possible as their safety is our first concern.
18.     What should my child bring to camp?
  • Sunscreen, a towel, bathing suit, a change of clothes, a water bottle, snacks, and a lunch. Please be sure to label ALL personal items. Toys and electronics are not allowed. Please keep in mind when packing lunches that Camp OK is a nut and latex free environment.
19.    Does Camp OK have a pool?
  • No, however we do have water days where children can bring their bathing suits and towels. These days do not involve swimming but we provide fun water activities for kids to stay cool.
20.     Is lunch provided?
  • No, campers must bring a packed lunch that they eat with their group of friends and counsellors. All lunches must be nut and latex free.  Snacks are available if a camper forgets their lunch.
21.   Does camp run on weekends/holidays?
  • Camp OK does not run on weekends but it does run on holidays (i.e. Civic Holiday).
22.   Does my camper need to attend camp on holidays?
  • No, but please inform Camp OK if your child is going to be away.​

​Performance Day:

23.      When is performance Day?
  • The last Friday of each two week session.
​24.     Where is performance day?
  • At the Joanne & Peter Kenny Theatre, King's University College (266 Epworth Ave).
25.     Will our family be able to come and watch the performance day in person?
  • Yes, Camp OK is returning to in person performances this summer.​ ​
